This week Christians in the Eastern Catholic and Orthodox Church are celebrating Holy Week and Pascha (Easter). Sometimes the dates of Pascha coincide or sometimes they are a week or two off, but in 2013 they are almost five weeks different; Western Easter will be March 31 and Orthodox Easter will be May 5! Interestingly some Orthodox Churches like those in Finland and in Armenia celebrate Easter on the Western calendar, a historical anomaly of sorts.
